Lani has started saying 'arriba up, arriba up'. I hadn't realised she was taking in that much from Dora. She has also started saying 'mochila' instead of backpack. She has been pointing out colours to; green, blue, brown. She has taken a liking to Kayne's plastic dinosaurs and even says 'dinosaur' instead of 'rarr'.
She is getting good at throwing things, and can throw both over and under arm, not with any accuracy but hey she's 20months old. Today we played outside and she was trying to jump holding my hands, she is getting close!
She also noticed her shadow today, she saw it, pointed and started to walk backwards. I saw her and had to laugh it was so cute and funny. She pointed again and i said 'it's your shadow', Lani said 'dadow?'. So i waved her arms up and down, she saw what was happening and then was doing it for her own fun. When the sun went in she was saying 'dadow gone' i told her that the sunshine makes it and she pointed to the sky and said 'sky, sunshine'. When the sun came out again she resumed making her shadow move and then noticed mine - she was trying to pick it up.
Whilst sitting on the patio she noticed the ants and was chasing them. When they disappeared into the grass she was lifting leaves looking for them. She has a huge fascination for nature, she seems happiest when she is outside or in some contact with elements - mud, water, dirt, sand, or a substitute like paint.
